Louisville — June (McAlister) Kash, formerly of Port Royal, passed away April 1, 2024. Daughter of the late Ferrell and Lucille (Kitson) McAlister, she retired from the US Attorney’s Office as a legal secretary and then worked for Furman-Nilsen Law Offices. June was also employed by the Henry County Board of Education, volunteered at Norton Suburban Hospital and worked alongside her husband, JB, as owner/operator of the Dairy Castle in New Castle.
June is survived by her son, Jon Kash, and a granddaughter, Ashley Kash.
Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Earl Wayne Perry, with interment in Port Royal Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
